Either A) he knows every little detail about you, your life, loves, high points, low points and you know he'll keep each secret locked safely away, or B) he's the best...simply the best...at what he does. In twenty years, no one else has touched my hair, to color or cut, for both of these reasons. There are fine stylists out there absolutely, but, as MJ's longest standing client, I have been in the salon when a "newbie" arrives, slightly nervous or perhaps a little defensive of her tresses. As a cutter, he's fantastic, but there is no better colorist working in the business at present. How do I know if I haven't been to anyone else in twenty years? I have eyes. As an actress, whose current roles are very much about "the hair," maintenance is incredibly important to me; there is no one else whom I would trust. That the key...trust.
